I had assumed that these indoor gravely beds were some kind of aesthetic trend with no real application, found under the stairs in apartment buildings and offices. But then when I passed one on a rainy day it made sense, no puddles left behind by dripping umbrellas, no obstructions in the corridors, and they look nice, maybe we should start this trend at home.
