In Ireland we are so terrified of electocution that the light switches in bath rooms are safety pull cords, and on the rare occasion that you find plugs they are special low voltage ones marked only for shavers! Here not so much, sink side sockets are everywhere, and in my current appartment I even have one in the shower!
