In Ireland I wouldn't be allowed in to watch this training session of kids I don't know, or take photos of them or hold on to their waste as I pushed them around to learn to skate!

There isn't as much pyjama wearing on the streets here, but you still see the odd person sporting the look!
Here it is considered rude to say I don't know, so when you ask where something is people just randomly pick a direction to point you in!
No matter what city/town in Colombia you go to, you can instantly find your way around because there is a very clear and simple system of parallel sequentially numbered calles and perpendicular sequentially numbered carreras.
People don't seem to care what the side or the back of their house looks like, as long as the front looks nice! Even if they live on a corner!
Not as essential in Ireland, the removable sleeve for when you want to rest your arm on an open window!
In Ireland if you travel 100 miles you can end up in a different country, but the weather will still be the same! Here it's the opposite, 100 miles can bring you from Bogotá with it's pleasant (at best) climate to somewhere so hot your nail varnish will melt off! Side note: Maybe also the quality for nail varnish isn't the same here!
They are everywhere here, every office building has a security desk and you need to show your id and get a temporary swipe card or ticket to get in.
When you are learn Spanish you know all about false friends, those words that sound like cognates but have totally different meanings, but no one warns you that some words have similar meanings but may not be as strong or stronger. While I find it a bit extreme that people tell me I "dominate Spanish" I can´t quite take "organised delinquency" seriously!
These groups of men standing around are buying and selling, but it may not be what you think, this is the emerald district, and that is what is in the white paper!
People have stalls on the street, where the sell a dessert that is basically all the stuff you would put with ice-cream: wafers, caramel sauce, sprinkles etc. but not the ice-cream it´s self!
Isn't such a big deal here, probably because the weather isn't as terrible so there is less need to blow the celebration out of proportion! Anyway, the picture shows that they were still putting up the decorations on the main street in mid December!
They take their protests more seriously here, one of the things they do is fill balloons with coloured paint and throw them at buildings along their protest routes!
The fact that you can clearly see the iron shapes on this bus seat cover shows that it is easier for small businesses to operate here without needing to invest in all the fancy equipment!
Every town and village here has a grassy town square, except sometimes where the climate isn't appropriate, then the plans are laid out the same, there is just sand patches where the grass should be!
You can find yourself on a bus here with a box of chickens clucking under your seat, or with a rooster on the person next to you's lap!
I have heard rumours of a drink from Donegal called football special, but aside from that if you go to buy a soft drink you know what to expect, not so here, local brands are available, this particular company is so low budget that they just print the one label and you have to rely on the colour to know what flavour you are getting!
People here bring a tent with them for their Sunday picnic, when they are going to the park and even when the are going to concerts!
